Volume I: Ryushoken (Family's First First)
Volume II: Hakutsuru Mei (Wife's Kata)
Volume III: Gohoken (Gokenki/Hohan FIst)
You get all three volumes as digital video downloads, covering the forms in Front View, Rear View, and Narration Instruction so you can learn the forms easily. Practical fighting application concepts for each kata are also presented. Also includes a Certificate of Merit from the Kobukan Karate Federation which will be mailed with each order.

Volume I - Ryushoken
Known as “Family’s First Fist”, this form serves as the basis of the Matsumura Crane System and was developed by Hohan Soken as an introduction to the intricate footwork of the art.

Volume II - Hakutsuru Mei
This is commonly referred to as the “Wife’s kata” and was said to be practiced by Bushi Matsumura’s wife in the mid 1800’s. His wife was the granddaughter of the great Chinese envoy to Okinawa and karate master named Kusanku.

Volume III - Gohoken
Developed by Takaya Yabiku, the successor of Hohan Soken, in the 20th century. The kata was a tribute to the two noted instructors of the Crane system: GOkenki - HOSoken and Ken representing fist of the White Crane.
