There will also be a bonus training day seminar held on Sunday, April 19.
GOTENTE - PALACE HAND ART KATA
To the best of my knowledge, only myself and Hanshi Greg know the original version of this form. This kata was discovered by Bushi Matsumura in the 1840’s when he became the King Shunten’s bodyguard and chief constable. This form was performed by the castle gate guards and is taught in both a Sai form and open hand form. It contains many concepts such as the Okinawan Iron Palm, fighting angles, disarm techniques, and much more. It is unknown when and if I will teach it again.
I was taught this kata by Sensei Chandler in a special private lesson for a considerable monetary investment. This demonstates the exclusive nature of this secret and historical kata. Students wishing to attend this seminar will require an additional fee of $300 per attendee. Students must provide their own set of Sai for this seminar.
